Crop eccessivo delle aree distorte (su Lumix 12/60 f3.5/5.6)

Buongiorno tutti
Sono nuovo del forum e volevo sottoporvi una questione:
Da poco sono in possesso di una Em1 (mk1) + Lumix 12/60 f3.5/5.6, entrambi usati, economicissimi ma molto validi per l'uso che ne faccio (montagna), osservando le immagini su C1 (che uso da qualche anno felicemente) noto che quelle scattate a 12mm hanno le miniature bordate da una grossa cornice nera.

Approfondisco la questione accorgendomi che il software di default croppa l'immagine riducendo non poco l'area visibile.
A seguito di una ricerca in rete trovo solo questo tread su un forum straniero photo.stackexchange.com/questions/69808/why-does-lens-distortion-corre
dove si può trovare delle spiegazioni ragionevoli ma non ufficiali.
A prescindere da esse la parte tagliata dalla correzione difatti penalizza l'ampiezza del grandangolo che speravo di poter usare, e il suo recupero risulta un pò macchinoso in quanto richiede la ricerca manuale delle immagini comprese nelle focali incriminate - dal 12 al 14mm- quindi la rimozione del rapporto originale e lo spostamento manuale dei cursori di crop...una per una!!!!

Esiste un altro metodo? Altri zoom della stessa categoria che partono dal 12mm risentono nella stessa misura di questo problema ?
