sony a6600, adattatore sony la-ea5 e sony 70-400 mm SSM II, difetto di messa a fuoco

Salve;

Ho gli acessori e la macchina come da titolo, ho preso l'adattatore anche perche' volevo continuare ad usare l'ottica in questione.
Provando la messa a fuoco sembrerebbe andare bene, ho quindi voluto provare in occasione della presenza delle frecce tricolori in Sardegna, il tutto sul campo.
Ho impostato la messa a fuoco continua ma purtroppo la macchina e/o lo zoom non riuscivano a mettere a fuoco, il motore ronzava di continuo mentre sul mirino seguivo l'aeroplano, ma purtroppo le immagini sono venute completamente sfocate, assolutamente inutilizzabili.
Ho provato poi ad utilizzare lo stesso zoom su una A68 che come sapete ha l'attacco sony A, quindi senza adattatore, e i risultati sono stati decisamente superiori, deduco che l'adattatore anche se di targa dovrebbe essere compatibile sia con la a6600 e sia con lo zoom sony 70-400 SSM II, induca dei problemi di focus, vi risulta ?
Qualche consiglio ?
Forse ho settato male il tipo di messa a fuoco ?
Da dire che la macchina l'ho acquistata da un mese e che risulta avere l'ultimo aggirnamento disponibile, cosi' come richiesto da Sony per la compatibilita' con questo obiettivo.
