dslr vs mirrorless - will dslr still be worth shooting in the long term

With Mirrorless becoming adopted more and more. Will DSLR still have a place long term or with they be only a fringe of the market?

I prefer my mirrorless. My pictures have improved. Mirrorless cameras need more cleaning. One camera body is not enough. Canon and Nikon haven given the Pros the opportunity to switch to mirrorless, but it is huge investment. For hobbiest like me mirrorless is great. Vintage lenses and manual focus is what I like.

I hadn't heard that about mirrorless needing more cleaning. I too enjoy the vintage lenses..

I have usually spots on the glass which protects the sensor. They are visible in landscape shots having stopped down. I remove them in post.

Icee	sent on 04 Maggio 2023 (12:03) I think in time that mirrorless will take over when people get used to using the EVF as against the optical one as there are benefits to mirrorless. As for cleaning, I don't find I need to clean them any more than my DSLR.

In my case cleaning is required when I want to take pics at f11. From wide open to f5.6 there is not really an issue.
My worst case is a 300mm at f11.
