E' un ritratto che contiene anche una contestualizzazione dell'ambiente in cui si trova il soggetto...
Poi quanto la contestualizzazione lascia intendere, dell'ambiente in cui si trova il soggetto stesso, è anche sensibilità del fotografo - credo.

Non so se il proponente può dettagliare meglio con un paio di esempi la contestualizzazione "minima" e quella "massima" da tenere in considerazione, anche se Cris ha appena messo il link di spiegazione.

Ad esempio questo nel mio pensiero NON sarebbe ambientato:

Questi assolutamente si:

Questo è ambientato per definizione (è a figura intera), ma di sicuro lo è molto meno del precedente per via della contestualizzazione assolutamente generica (anche se gradevolissima!):

Così come il primo piano del vecchietto e quello del giovane su sfondo del muro blu al link di Cris: per me quelli non hanno niente del ritratto ambientato. Si intuisce bene dove siamo, ma il dietro conta poco (anche se il blu dietro è ovvio che siano i classici muri blu della città marocchina) o niente (nel caso del vecchietto).
Invece il tizio che fuma e la maestra a scuola sono splendidi ritratti ambientati anche se sono ravvicinati, belli davvero.
Insomma la cosa è variegata, non c'è un confine netto.

Certo è che più includi e meglio è per la contestualizzazione, ma diventa a quel punto anche più difficile valorizzare bene il soggetto rispetto allo sfondo ovviamente.

Non sono un ritrattista, faccio al 90% paesaggi, ho qualche foto di soggetti inanimati che a mio modo di vedere avrebbero i giusti requisiti per essere inserite nel contest, sono ritenute valide?
