Ciao,
torno su questo argomento perchè con la mia (ex) Sony A7III, e poi ora con alcune A7III che sto testando, non riesco ad avere lo stesso comportamento che vedo in questo video:

in particolare, usando le lenti Sigma 105 macro e 35 Art, e il Canon 70-200 IS II, non riesco ad avere face detection o eye AF su tutto il frame (o su buona parte dell'area di focus, come invece si vede nel video).
Attenzione che non sto dicendo che voglio avere le stesse prestazioni dei Sony E mount nativi, so bene che con soggetti in movimento le lenti adattate non vanno bene, ma evidentemente nei settaggi che uso manca qualcosa, perchè selezionando wide area e AFC non vedevo lo stesso comportamento del video.
A un certo punto si vede la modella che si allontana e l'eye focus che la segue molto bene, inoltre il face detection funziona su tutto il frame.

Dipende dalla lente e dal firmware? Qualche oscuro settaggio annidato nei terribili menu Sony che ho dimenticato di attivare?

Questo elemento è determinante nella scelta di un corpo, il ballottaggio qui è tra Sony A7III e Canon R6, di cui apprezzo molto l'efficienza AF e l'uso, ma non riesco a farmi piacere i files, mentre su Sony accade esattamente il contrario, ne apprezzo i files, ma con lenti adattate l'AF non è assolutamente al pari di Canon.

Premi AF ON oppure il pulsante di scatto a metà? Io che nn ho ancora studiato a fondo Sony vedo differenze abissali in termini di AF, se premo AFON con un adattatore viltrox e lenti Nikon. Non solo riesco ad avere l eye detection su tutto il frame ma pure il tracking

Ho fatto ulteriori test e ora dopo aver aggiornato il firmware sia dell'adattatore sia delle lenti, sembra seguire il soggetto in Eye AF su tutto il frame.
Tuttavia mi sembra che i risultati di precisione nel focusing non siano eccezionali, ma devo fare test con un corpo diverso perché anche in single spot non avevo risultati adeguati.
Ho già provato diversi corpi A7III e solo uno mi ha soddisfatto come prestazioni di nitidezza e messa a fuoco, non capisco se dipenda dall'esemplare o dall'accoppiamento con le mie lenti.
