Hello everyone,
I am an amatour wildlife photographer shooting mostly mammals. I am planning on changing camera system and I am cosidering going for Fujifilm 100-400mm with X-T2 or Canon 100-400mm II with 7d mark II but I have problems deciding witch one to choose. Is here anyone, who has expierience with this gear and is eager to give an advice?

Both systems has excellent IQ and it would be hard to see what camera has taken what photo if you compare the photo's side by side. Both systems have advantages and disadvanteges. The majour disadvantage of the Fuji for me is that it is not nearly as robust as the Canon and the ergonomics on th Fuji sucks.

Your best option is to try out both systems (rent, beg or borrow one) and see which one works for you. Take you time to do it don't rush.

Regards,
Peter

Thank you very much for an advice. I really appreciate it. Eventually I've decided to go with Sony mirrorless system - I would have deleted my question from the forum, if I could but it seems not possible.

Also - you have a lovely gallery!

Regards,
Gabriela

I used for three years 7D2 +100-400Mk2
The combo focuses with the speed of light and the 7D2 has a very strong chassis
Highly recommended for serious BIF in the field
Downside of the camera is limited DR and higher noise in poor light
