I currently have a Canon 20D with the Canon 28-135mm lens. I am setting up a small studio in my house and will buy a Epson R3000 inkjet printer, Epson scanner. I also am going to upgrade my Camera and lens. I have been debating and almost decided on a Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 EX DC OS HMS lens and the Tamron 70-300 f/4.5-5.6 VC DI USC. Any opions on this setup expecially on the Camera and lens. thanx, Dabs.............
Im new to the forum, and since no - one else is biting i will. The 20D is a solid camera, if a little old. You didnt say which camera you wanted, i would suggest a Canon 60D, which is the newest version of your camera. With the lenses, the 17-50 Sigma is a good choice, i have several Sigmas, and i think they are fine, although, i have not used that particular lens before, but heard it was very good. A good cheaper alternative would be the Tamron 17-50 2.8. i have used this lens several times. i dont have any expirience with the 70-300 however, also consider the canon 55-250 4 - 5.6 IS lens, its a kit lens, but really quite good.
