Consiglio obiettivo Fujifilm: tengo il 27mm f/2.8 o lo sostituisco

Chiedo consiglio agli utilizzatori di macchine Fujifilm, visto che per me è difficile provare gli obiettivi visto l'esiguo numero di fotocamere Fuji.
Le mie focali ideali sono il 23mm ed il 35mm (in pratica 35 e 50 equivalenti).
Con fuji ne avevo ben quattro da scegliere sia f/2 che f/4. Esigenze di portafoglio mi hanno portato a prendere il 27mm pancake f/2.8.
Ho così "bruciato" alcune fra le ottiche migliori della serie, visto che in pratica ho un 40mm che rappresenta la via di mezzo.
Poi sono iniziati i dubbi: con il 27mm - comodissimo in tutto - i ritratti non mi piacciono, non riesco a sfocare alle spalle del soggetto e la resa tridimensionale non mi piace, insomma non "stacca". Ho anche il 16-50, ma ugualmente non mi piace per i ritratti.
Secondo voi:
a) cambio lente "standard" sostituendo il 27mm (40 eq) magari con un 23mm (35mm eq);
b) cambio lente "standard" sostituendo il 27mm (40 eq) con un 35mm (50mm eq) così avrò anche ritratti migliori (ho letto che vengono bene);
c) mi tengo il 27mm e prendo qualcosa dedicato ai ritratti ?
In quest'ultima ipotesi cosa mi consigliereste ? Non ho preclusioni verso gli zoom.
