Testa a sfera Rollei t-8s

Ho visto che la Rollei ha creato questa testa a sfera (oltre ad una seconda versione delle precedenti teste e dei treppiedi serie Rock Solid), su tale testa hanno montato un "secondo asse panoramico" appena sotto l'attacco per la piastra Arca Swiss:

Secondo voi può essere utile avere due assi panoramici a disposizione ed in quali casi si potrebbe usare?
Leggendo la descrizione c'è scritto: "Per condizioni di terreno semplici, utilizzare la scala chiaramente visibile ai piedi della testa del treppiede, presentare lo smorzamento tramite la manopola rotante separata, che può essere facilmente azionata anche con i guanti, e infine fissare la palla. Se il treppiede è inclinato, non è necessario allineare le singole gambe, ma è possibile utilizzare il secondo asse panoramico sopra la testa della palla. Direttamente sotto il fissaggio Arca-Swiss c'è un'altra scala e una vite di bloccaggio. Utilizzate la vostra livella a bolla d'aria per allineare con precisione la vostra macchina fotografica e iniziare subito a scattare foto panoramiche."

Serve per poter mettere in bolla il treppiede senza stare a regolare le gambe di fino e poter quindi fare l'inquadratura liberamente. Ti evita di dover prendere a parte una base di livellamento. E' un sistema che ho su una delle mie teste. La spiegazione sul sito rollei (leggi quella in inglese) mi pare chiara. Leggi qua:

Ti ringrazio per l'intervento. All'inizio (quando avevo scritto questo messaggio) non mi sembrava potesse essere così utile un secondo asse panoramico, perché pensavo che con il treppiedi fosse meglio tenere in verticale la testa a sfera, accorciando o allungando una o due gambe del treppiedi. Però in effetti in alcuni casi non è possibile mantere in tale posizione la testa.
