Ho visto questo film su Netflix, in lingua indi e sottotitolato (italiano)
E' del 2015, regia di Prashant Nair; è stato premiato nell'ambito del 2015 Sundance Film Festival.
E' una storia drammatica in cui il maggiore di 2 fratelli parte per l'America (Umrika) e scrive di se notizie accompagnate da fotografie, per raccontare della realtà americana ai suoi ed agli abitanti del suo piccolo villaggio rurale.
E' proprio per il ruolo che ha la fotografia nel racconto, in un contesto culturale compeltamente diverso nal nostro, che ho pensato di segnalarlo qui.
La realtà si rivelerà più complessa e per certi versi drammatica di quella che appare ... ma a questo punto , per chi vorrà, buona visione.
