70-200 con teleconverter: come lo tenete a tracolla?

Ciao, una domanda un po' particolare.

Se qualcuno ha un 70-200 f/2.8 (di qualsiasi marca), abbinato ad un teleconverter, solitamente come lo tiene a tracolla?

Più in dettaglio:

- il collare per treppiede lo tiene montato sull'ottica?
- le strap le tiene attaccate al corpo macchina o all'obiettivo?


Il motivo di questa domanda è che ho appena preso un Tamron 150-600 VC. Mi è stato consigliato di tenere l'obiettivo a tracolla con le strap attaccate al collare per treppiede, perchè se sono attaccate al corpo macchina rischierei di danneggiare la baionetta (D600) per il peso dell'obiettvio

Ma rimuovendo il collare, il Tamron pesa come un 70-200 con moltiplicatore e collare. E, nel secondo caso, non mi sembra che consiglino l'attacco delle strap sull'obiettivo.
