Flash Metz mecablitz 52 af1 su canon 450 d non legge apertura diaframma

Buonasera,

ho un flash Metz Mecablitz 52 AF1 per Canon, montato su 450D. Il flash, che finora ha funzionato sempre benissimo, non legge l'apertura del diaframma in ETTL, anche a parabola parallela alla macchina. Ho provato a modificare mille volte le impostazioni, ho anche scaricato il nuovo firmware, sia della fotocamera che del flash, ma continua a non farlo. Ho anche pulito i contatti del flash e della slitta della fotocamera, infine, ho anche resettato le impostazioni della macchina e ho fatto la stessa cosa con quelle del flash. Quando provo a modificare le impostazioni del flash esterno dal menu della fotocamera mi dice che non posso perché il flash o è spento(e non lo è) o non è compatibile(e non lo è), se cerco di modificare le impostazioni del flash interno mi dice che non è possibile perché è montato il falsh esterno. Sto impazzendo, qualcuno ha avuto una esperienza simile?
