Ho avuto modo di visitare questo arcipelago primordiale nell'inverno 2009. Una terra di assoluta bellezza e di stravolgenti paesaggi. La nostra permanenza è prevalsa solo sull'isola di Sao Miguel con base di appoggio a Ponta Delgada. Dopo aver noleggiato un autovettura a modica cifra abbiamo percorso l'intero perimetro dell'isola esplorando tutte le maggiori località turistiche. Dai piccoli centri di Ribeira Grande e Ribeira Quente alla suggestiva localita' termale Furnas; dalla caldera vera a Nordeste; da Cetecitades a Lagoa do fogo; da Mosteiros a Povovacao. Emozioni indimenticabili. ....

stavo pensando di andare a metà giugno alle Azzorre ... chi mi da qualche dritta?

Sto programmando 7-10 giorni di tour fotografico alle Azzorre con priorità lo snorkeling con delfini e mante e balene . Quindi a grandi linee : volo fino a San Miguel, poi Pico per il whale watching tipo un tre giorni, in quanto le uscite dipendono dal meteo che è la parte più variabile, poi si va a san Michele per il resto. laghi e altro. Pico è comunque vicino ad altre due isole pertanto è una buona base . l'ideale è essere in 3-4 . I viaggi organizzati tradizionali mal si sposano con le esigenze fotografiche.
