Manfrotto Befree vs Manfrotto 290 light

Ciao a tutti, ennesimo post su consigli per treppiedi.
Ho deciso finalmente di sostituire il vecchio treppiede ereditato con un bel Manfrotto.
Budget 100-150 €.
Utilizzo: fotografia paesaggistica, non necessariamente legata a lunghe escursioni
Attrezzatura corrente: Canon 50D + Tamron 17-50. Prima o poi passerò a FF (6D o qualcosa di simile), comunque obiettivi grandangolari decenti.

Mi sembra che la testa a sfera del 290 sia più affidabile, l'ho confrontata in negozio con quella del Befree One (che mi sembra simile al Befree).
Attendo consigli e delucidazioni in merito.
