Dpreview has published the tests of the Nikon D500; it looks pretty good!

In terms of dynamic range, it is one of the best cameras on the market (much better than the Nikon D5):

Good high ISO too:

Hi Juza, I believe that the D5 has a Nikon designed sensor. The D500 has a Sony sourced sensor and Sony seems to be leaders in the field of Raw file shadow Recovery...or it's correct term: Iso invariance.
Canon are catching up in that one regard....but they are catching up slowly.

its not importatn like nikon d7200 is best apcs senzor ,,, and designed by nikon ... problem is senzor d5 is designed for higher iso values.... my opinion...

If I go D4 to D500 I would need equal High ISO capability, it's possible for new sensor to be at this level. I'm gaining 6mp and 1.5 crop already so I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't. D500 still a good possibility.

In terms of high ISO, the Nikon D500 is better than most other APS-C cameras, but the fullframe Nikon D4, D4s and D5 are a little better than the D500:
