Considero questa città del Kerala, più come punto di partenza per una visita dell'intero stato. Non lontano troviamo già una splendida e forse unica area che si chiama "Back waters", una sorta di dedalo di acque salmastre distribuite tra canali e lagune dove la popolazione vive lungo le sponde; Per capirsi questo sito è chiamato la Venezia d'oriente. Si potrebbe dedicare un settimana soltanto per un luogo così ameno, entrando in sintonia con la natura e magari con la gente. L'interno del Kerala, a circa un centinaio di chilometri, dove il territorio sale anche oltre i mille metri, ci sono meravigliose distese di té. Siamo lontani dalle megalopoli e a mio avviso bisogna assaporare il ritmo del posto, nel bene e nel male. La popolazione è molto socievole e le possibilità di qualche ottimo scatto sono presenti.
