x100s: Iperfocale calcolata e barra delle distanze: differenze!

Ciao,
l'argomento è spinoso, perchè "qualcuno si sbaglia". E spererei vivamente di essere io.

Prendiamo un'apertura canonica: F/8

DofMaster (http://www.dofmaster.com/dofjs.html) mi dice che l'iperfocale è a 3.33mt, e che la DOF si estende da 1.66mt a infinito.

La barra delle distanze in macchina mi dice invece che l'iperfocale è oltre i 5mt e che quindi si estende da "un pò prima" a infinito.

So che fuji è conservativa, ma la differenza è di un paio di mt!!

Che ne pensate?

Se hai la barra delle distanze attiva e il fuoco manuale gira la ghiera fino a che il lato destro della zona bianca arriva a infinito (occhio perchè continua a girare, fermati APPENA arrivi a infinito).

In teoria questo vorrebbe dire che la lancetta rossa è sull'iperfocale, e che la dof va dall'inizio della zona bianca a infinito...

UPDATE: Non ci ho fatto caso a come fosse prima di upgradare il firmware, ma ora pare sia ancora più conservativa di prima!!
