per un safari: meglio la d700 o la d7000 con un tele?

la settimana prossima parto per un safari in Kenya, ed avendo sia una D700 che una D7000 il mio dubbio amletico è: quale delle due porto pensando di abbinarla principalmente ad uno zoom 70-300 vr? meglio il formato FX o il DX che mi servirebbe per sfruttare meglio il fattore moltiplicativo? grazie mille a tutti. Entrambe se puoi, un corpo di riserva fa comodo.
Se cala la luce hai in alternativa un corpo macchina che regge bene gli iso.
Visto che 300 non sono molti lo monterei sul corpo aps-c.

Entrambe con priorità alla d700.
FF = più sfruttabilità secondo me.
Io opterei nel limite del possibile un medio tele come il 70-300 su ff e un super tele su apsc.
