Supponendoli identici otticamente, se ti serve l'F4 l'altro non ci arriva.

Se non ti serve e vuoi rischiare meno in vacanza, prendi l'altro.

Non mi sono fissato. Ho solo perso tempo a cercare di risponderti in base a quello che hai scritto tu, documentandoti con immagini le prestazioni del serie L alle focali maggiori.
Non so come fai i test, ma per i modi in cui ti esprimi "vi siete fissati" direi che il mio contributo e la mia frequentazione alle tue interssantissime discussioni finisce qui.

Mi spiace che ti sia offeso, comunque resta il fatto che hai comparato lenti differenti.
Se poi vedi il test MTF su

vedi che la lente a 105mm a f/4 e f/5.6 perde veramente tanto sui bordi.
