La macchina non riconosce più l'obiettivo e AF non funziona

ciao a tutti, come da oggetto del thread l'autofocus della macchina ha smesso di funzionare dal nulla. il problema non è della macchina ma dell'obiettivo, un tamron 50-400 (usato oggi per la seconda volta, tra l'altro), perché con tutte le altre lenti non ho problemi. In breve, stavo facendo foto in AF, poi ho switchato in modalità manuale per un paio di scatti e quando ho cliccato sul pulsante per tornare in modalità auto mi è apparso un errore LENS che recita: "non valido con questo obiettivo". allego screenshot.

vi è mai capitato? sapete come risolvere? segnalo ancora che prima funzionava quindi non credo si tratti di aggiornamento firmware.
