PS Element usa il convertitore ACR ma in versione molto ridotta, mancano molte importanti funzionalità presenti nela versione ACR di Ligtroom o CS6. Come visualizzatore dei RAW PS-E non va bene, ne apre solo uno di volta in volta e non fa vedere nemmeno le anteprime se non hai scattato in RAW + JPEG.
CO7 (io uso la Pro, già dalla versione 5) consente invece più interventi come convertitore ma ha meno funzioni per il fotoritocco.

Secondo me l'ideale sarebbe usare CO come convertitore e PS-E per il fotoritocco - ma non ha le curve e la possibilità di lavorare sui canali o con Lab. Se ti accontenti dei livelli per equilibrare l'immagine JPEG in S-RGB a 8 bit va bene.

Tutto sommato penso valga la pena dare un'occhiata a Lightroom che fa un pò tutto e bene essendo anche abbastanza intuitivo nell'uso.

Sono due cose diverse Egargiulo.
PE è un software di fotoritocco e all'occorrenza convertitore di raw,mentre Capture One è un 'signor' convertitore di raw,il migliore in assoluto secondo il mio modesto parere.
