Il problema lì era più delle Sony A7 I e II che avevano un autofocus lento di suo. Con le versioni III in poi delle Sony A7 le cose sono migliorate molto. Meglio ancora con la IV e V^ versione (ma anche A9-A1) e di conseguenza anche gli obiettivi adattati funzionano meglio.
In ogni caso si chiamano "adattatori". Di solito si usano per "adattare" qualcosa su qualcos'altro per cui non è stato concepito espressamente. Ci si adatta per motivi che possono essere economici, affettivi, di peso, di dimensioni, ecc. C'è da aspettarsi che non raggiungano il 100% delle prestazioni degli originali.
Quando si usa un obiettivo di una marca adattato su un'altra (magari con un adattatore di un'altra marca ancora) ci si lamenta che non va bene come l'originale perchè non fa le milemila foto al secondo dell'originale o non rende in modo uguale in condizioni particolari e difficili. Però, magari, va bene nel 95% delle cose che si fanno normalmente. Del resto anche i Canon EF rendono bene se adattati sull'attacco RF (e forse anche meglio che su reflex), ma non altrettanto bene rispetto agli obiettivi RF nativi.
Utilizzo su Sony A7RIII un Canon 50 f1.2, adattato con Sigma MC11, che, per l'uso che ne faccio io, va meglio rispetto a quando lo usavo con la Canon 6D che aveva il suo attacco nativo (e, tra l'altro, mi piace anche di più sulla RIII). Non posso dire la stessa cosa di un Canon 35 f1.4 che invece non metteva a fuoco facilmente.
