È scorrevole ma non incorporato, aumenta notevolmente le dimensioni dell'obiettivo, mentre quello del nikon 180mm per esempio aumenta il diametro di pochi millimetri; hanno dimensioni simili finché non si monta il paraluce sul 40-150.

Oltre l'ingombro, è delicato (non esercitare pressioni laterali quando a riposo ritratto perché si corre il rischio di romperlo) e costoso in caso di sostituzione. Da mettere in posizione di lavoro invece è ottimo. Però troppo sofisticato per i miei gusti.

Lo uso da un anno senza nessun problema. Basta prenderci la mano. E le dimensioni aumentano di ca 6-7 mm ( di diametro ) . È più un effetto ottico che reale
