Canon 24-70 2,8 usm II e problemi messa a fuoco

Buongiorno,

ho comprato il Canon 24-70 2,8 usm II leggendo e sentendo i pareri entusiastici di chi già lo possiede.
Sto riscontrando però problemi di messa a fuoco, specie alla massima apertura. In pratica a 70 mm 2,8 facendo un ritratto ad un soggetto a circa 1,5 metri e mettendo a fuoco l'occhio già il naso risulta sfocato.
Stesso dicasi se metto a fuoco sull'occhio e poi compongo l'inquadratura, in quel caso la foto risulta sfocata perchè il fuoco si perde.
Chiedo a chi già usa questo obiettivo se è normale questa ridottissima pdc. Se devo lavorare con diaframmi che vanno dal 5,6 in su a che mi serve il 2,8?
O magari è un problema del mio obiettivo?

Se hai una FF, 70mm, F/2.8, 1.5m avrai a fuoco una zona di 7cm, 3.5cm avanti ed altrettanti dietro (circa).
Se hai una dslr fai la prova con e senza live view e verifica se i risultati sono uguali.

Ad 1,5 mt di distanza con una FF (presumo ma non hai specificato la macchina) con 70mm di focale ed una apertura di f/2.8 hai circa 3,5cm di profondità di campo anteriore al punto di messa a fuoco.
Quindi la punta del naso sfocata è il comportamento giusto della lente, puoi verificarlo con questo strumento:

Già chiudendo af f/4 risolvi il tuo problema.

Ho dimenticato di dire che uso il 24-70 su una 5D IV. Quindi è normale quanto sto riscontrando?

Si normale, e ti consiglio qualche libro di fotografia per capirne le basi così da poter capire come sfruttare al meglio la tua attrezzatura.
