EF 70/200mm VS ef-s 55-250mm e foto lunari

Buongiorno,
attualmente sono in possesso di un EF-S 55-250mm ma vorrei fare un upgrade del mio teleobiettivo, soprattutto perchè ultimamente mi sto appassionando al tema "lunare" e pensavo che il EF 70/200mm f/4L USM potesse garantirmi foto migliori e più ravvicinate rispetto al 55-250.
Probabilmente come vicinanza no perchè ha 50mm in meno però vorrei un consiglio da voi esperti (poi non lo userei solo per la luna ma anche per altri soggetti logicamente.
Chiedo anche consiglio ad una eventuale alternativa, anche più economica, che mi permetta di "andare distante" con l'immagine da scattare e mi permetta (come nel caso della luna) di avvicinarmi il più possibile.
Grazie a chiunque mi dai un'aiuto o un consiglio.

Io ho fatto qualche prova con il Celestron C9.25 XLT ( Lunghezza Focale 2350 mm, F/10 ) + iOptron Montatura iEQ30 Pro, ma piu' per visuale che per foto, andro' in posti con cieli bui ( sui 2000m. di quota d' inverno e sui 2700 d' estate ). Per ora ho solo fatto prove visuali, positive, ma il problema maggiore sono le case riscaldate che rovinano l' atmosfera, non ho ancora trovato un posto isolato con cielo fermo, vedo tutto muovere…
Con la Focale 2350 mm su fotocamera Full Frame il quarto di luna occupa bene l' immagine, con focali inferiori la luna risulta più piccola.
Con il Celestron C9.25, essendo chiuso e relativamente grande, bisogna fare l' acclimatamento, cioè ci vogliono oltre 2 ore di attesa perchè l' aria interna sia stabilizzata, per sveltire questa operazione ho acquistato un mini aspirapolvere per auto 12V, inserisco il piccolo tubo aspirapolvere nel foro lato oculari per il ricambio veloce dell' aria interna . Oppure se devo portare il telescopio in giro con l' auto d' inverno non accendo il riscaldamento. Altro accorgimento : lasciare il telescopio fuori sul balcone 3-4 ore prima dell' utilizzo.
Se succede ad esempio che il tubo abbia l'aria interna metà fredda e metà calda, fra i 2 strati la luce devia per rifrazione e l' immagine risulta difettosa.
