Ho il Nikon versione f/3,5 e lo Schneider ha fama di avere meno distorsione e meno CA.

Detto ciò (tutto quello che segue è imho), su pellicola il Nikon è buono, su D600 sufficiente, ma lo Schneider va meglio in tutto. Per la robustezza basta la normale cura di chi non campa con la fotografia e mette un pizzico di attenzione per non danneggiare la propria attrezzatura, solitamente pagata anche cara.

Resta da vedere se 28mm su fov 1,55 ti bastano:
a pellicola, per il mio occhio, erano decisamente abbastanza, ma se fai architettura col fov ti troverai in difficoltà.
In digitale ho peregrinato molto, mi sono arrangiato prima col 10-24 Af-S G Nikon (il mio adattatore shift ha la propria ghiera per i diaframmi e da 15mm copre il 24x36, con bassissima distorsione), sufficiente ma già ai limiti su Fuji Xe-2, ora ho preso il 14mm Laowa Dslr e lo devo provare.

14mm, per me, vanno bene sia su apsc che su m4/3, dove diventa un 28mm equivalente.
Mi stuzzicava anche il 12mm Laowa, ma l'assenza di vite per i filtri è stato sempre un deterrente a prenderlo, se non ad un prezzo veramente stracciato, ovviamente usato.
