Esatto Jack, più la focale è lunga e più è facile mettere a fuoco manualmente.
Io ho scattato decine di migliaia di ritratti in vita mia ma la focale 1.4 l' ho usata veramente poco.
Come già espresso più volte la focale 50mm., su FF,
non la prendo nemmeno in considerazione per ritratto.

A prescindere da af o MF. Nel senso non si rischia comunque di avere una parte non a fuoco, tipo un occhio si e uno no, basta che il soggetto sia impercettibilmente voltato verso un lato. „

Sono stili diversi, si va da solo gli occhi a fuoco a tutto a fuoco, nel caso di apertura massima, andava molto anni fa, se il volto non è parallelo alla fotocamera si mette a fuoco l'occhio più vicino.
