Canon 5D mk III problemi di messa a fuoco con poca luce

Ciao a tutti, voglio sottoporvi un fastidioso problema a cui non riesco a venire a capo: spesso mi capita di scattare foto a serate in locali, e se il posto è particolarmente buio la macchina fatica a prendere la messa a fuoco, e quindi a scattare! Solitamente in queste situazioni lavoro con la mia Canon 5D MK III, Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro e uno speedlite 430 EX II, che uso prevalentemente in funzione manuale; stavo ragionando sull'acquisto di un 580 ex II, pensando fosse l'unità flash a darmi problemi di messa a fuoco, sono completamente fuori strada? cosa mi consigliate di fare per risolvere? Grazie
