Un tele più "cicciotto" di questo vecchio EF interferirebbe con le gambe, e comunque siamo già al limite della tenuta (sollevi la gamba sbagliata e si ribalta), ma un treppiede con le gambe più corte non penso ce la possa fare.

io ho il pixi mini, che va solo in orizzontale, e per quanto strano da dirsi ci ho montato tranquillamente su una 1d mk2 con 17-40, non ha dato mezzo segno di cedimento, ormai sono due anni che lo porto con me ogni giorno

Mah, forse ne ho provato uno difettoso. In verticale con 2 kg circa non c'era verdo di fare stare ferma la testa.

Basta che stringi bene MrGreen

il limite è il ribaltamento, non tanto la tenuta della testa.

Invece la stabilizzazione è pessima: appena tocchi qualcosa le gambe in materiale plastico producono oscillazioni, inoltre la precisione della testa è pessima: scegli la posizione, blocchi la sfera e, quando molli la fotocamera, quella si abbassa.
Si può usare, ma non è per nulla comodo.

Provato nella versione, credo la prima, che non consente la rotazione verticale ma solo una inclinazione parziale! Con 1d III e samyang 85mm ... non ho mollato la macchina neppure un attimo .... temevo si ribaltasse - con 50d + BG + 17/55 f. 2.8 se proprio non c'è alternativa .... ma tempi di scatto brevissimi xche' anche il solo ribaltamento dello specchio crea disastri .... Insomma con una compatta o reflex leggera ok , altrimenti meglio un gorillone ( anche non originale)
