Tempo fa, quando avevo il corredo Nikon, provai a moltiplicare un Nikkor AF 300/2.8 con un moltiplicatore 2x Tamron.
L'accoppiamento fisicamente era possibile, ma la qualità d'immagine del 300/2.8 così duplicato era visibilmente peggiore dell'immagine che si otteneva dal 300/2.8 nudo, croppando l'immagine. Non ci volevo credere, ma mi sono dovuto arrendere all'evidenza.
E in quel caso partivo da un'ottica stratosferica; nel caso del 70-300 temo proprio che il risultato sarebbe inguardabile...e inutile.

Io moltiplicavo tranquillamente il Nikon 70-300 VR con un Kenko 2X. Manteneva l'AF, ma dovevo disabilitare il VR perchè faceva degli strani scatti ed avevo paura si spaccasse qualcosa.
Come ti hanno già detto gli altri, però, la qualità scadeva talmente tanto che era meglio croppare uno scatto fatto a 300 liscio, piuttosto che provare a lavorarne uno duplicato.
Però faceva tanto figo sapere che avevo una focale equivalente da 900mm su APS-C!! MrGreen

@Eligio vai a caccia di una Nikon V1 usata (meglio la V2) completa di adattatore FT1 per 200-300€. Avresti un TC 2.7 senza perdita di luminosità 190-810 mm. Il Nikkor 70-300 a 200mm è ancora decente, avresti un 500 mm equivalente e sfrutteresti la maggiore pdc a tuo vantaggio. AF e raffiche al top, leggerezza, IQ OK se non ti aspetti la qualità di tele da 5000€ ;-)
