Sicuramente il 24-240 ha una copertura maggiore di focali. Ma, se le foto che intendi fare sono del tipo che hai postato, non credo scenderesti sotto la focale minima del 55-210.

Ti mostro due esempi molto diversi di foto realizzate con il 55-210 e la Sony NEX-7 (ciccandoci sopra si possono visualizzare a 3600x2400 pixel).

In un concerto di Simona Molinari da sotto il palco (si tratta di un JPEG in camera):

All'interno del museo della Centrale Montemartini a Roma:

certo che il 55-210 pesa 350gr
e il 24-240 pesa 780gr

capiterà anche che il soggetto mi passi a fianco o abbastanza vicino e so per certo che il 24 come minimo la utilizzerei.

Il peso non è certo d'aiuto :)

Ciao,
forse potresti valutare il 18-200 tamron (o il 18-200 LE sony, che è lo stesso obiettivo rimarchiato): è abbastanza compatto e leggero, la qualità è accettabile per la tipologia di lente ( link )

interessante il 18-200 sia come qualità, sia peso e costo inferiori al 24-240.

Quindi la scelta ricade tra:
18-200 e 24-240
