Non vi è nulla di confermato, e il fatto che canon abbia depositato dei brevetti non è garanzia che certi prodotti entrino in produzione (e la questione è a volte commerciale, più che tecnica).

Detto ciò, SE le informazioni divulgate finora fossero confermate, e l'ottica venisse effettivamente prodotta, il prezzo dovrebbe essere inferiore a quello dell'ef 100-400 II: nel caso, sarà interessante valutare la qualità d'immagine, in relazione agli ingombri e peso, che non potranno certo essere paragonabili a quelli di un 200-400 f4 L is usm, altrimenti l'ottica non avrebbe molto mercato.

Penso che Sigma e Tamron abbiano tolto una bella fetta di mercato a Canon nel settore dei tele zoom e stia pensando a qualcosa di non troppo costoso e di buona qualita', se ci sono riusciti loro mamma Canon di sicuro fara' qualcosa di migliore , magari leggermente piu' costoso ma di ottima qualita' !!!

Da quanto è possibile sapere, sembrerebbe che tale ottica venga presentata a Febbraio 2017 in occasione della presentazione della nuova 6D II, chiaramente sono solo voci di Canon Rumors quindi da prendere con le "molle"
