Due possibilità che mi sembrano più probabili: o il gruppo diaframma lo sostituiscono di regola insieme allo stab.

Oppure qualche colpo senza accorgerti l'obiettivo lo ha preso.

Se l'obiettivo era in garanzia è facile la 1.

A me viene anche da pensare che sia caduto con tutta la scatola a qualche negoziante e ha fatto un bel volo prima di essere venduto

@Pdeninis probabile, può anche essere come dice @Dario, può essere caduta la scatola a qualche negoziante o a qualche corriere.

@Giacopiane, avevo messo i link in un post precedente, ma ormai non ha più importanza dato che la cosa si è risolta.
Non è un errore umano, è un'ottica fallata già in partenza, dato che si è guastata dopo un mese di utilizzo e senza che prendesse colpi. Almeno da quando me l'hanno consegnata. Se nel tragitto dalla fabbrica al grossista al rivenditore a casa mia sia caduta a qualcuno non si potrà mai sapere. I tecnici Canon non l'hanno riscontrato.
