Con buona pace di quanti sostenevano che non l'avremmo MAI visto in una fotocamera ...

Visto come tutti i marchi puntano all'aumento dei MP, lo considero assolutamente (ir)ragionevole.
L'utilizzo che ci vedo ... paesaggi ultradefiniti oppure crop al momento impossibili, però mi spaventano non poco
a) la diffrazione
b) la necessità di un Cray per elaborare gli scatti
c) l'enorme peso dei file

In effetti se consideri che il file raw é oltre i 200 mb...

Se teniamo conto che quella fotocamera costerà una enormità di soldi, chi la compra può anche comprarsi un PC top per elaborare gli scatti ed ennemila HD esterni giganteschi per il backup ... ma per l'utenza "media" la vedo dura.

Considerato anche che puoi avere tutti i soldi che vuoi, ma la diffrazione te la becchi comunque.

A parte questo... boh... non ne comprendo i campi di utilizzo.
Megacrop? Ma è da vedere quali lenti riescono a reggere tale densità e come...
Stampe giganti? Ma la stampa gigante è fatta per essere vista da lontano, non dalla stessa distanza da cui si vede un 24x30...
E la diffrazione? Già a f/5.6 siamo oltre il limite... ok che non è on/off e che gli effetti subentrano gradualmente... ma già a f/8 ci potrebbero essere conseguenze, e f/8 è un'apertura tutt'altro che estrema.

Quali potrebbero essere i campi di utilizzo dove una 120 mpx bayer ha vantaggi reali su una già discussa 50mpx?

Ne parlano anche engadget e canonwatch, quindi direi di si. Il punto comunque è proprio quello che dite voi: a parte l'esercizio di ingegneria di produrre un prototipo del genere, mi sembra che nell'utilizzo reale le applicazioni siano veramente scarse...
