+2Stops DR? Never. Just look at Medium Format compared to FF DR to see the difference, a FF sensor won't achieve that in my opinion. I can imagine a DR increase by software via in-camera stacking for better HDRs and DR.
Even 16bit is only really useful at base iso, at higher Isos you are just digitising noise better.
I think a better EVF is more important. But even though, cameras now provide performance most amateurs usually can't really make use of, in my opinion.
