ora è tardino ma vorrei mettermi un promemoria per la prima pagina.
visto che ho preso oggi un epson v550 e sono in difficolta con il software epson forse perche uso win 11...

Dalle mie numerose esperienze con diversi tipi di scanner sia piatti che specializzati per film 35mm vuescan é sempre aldisotto dei driver originali come risultati, almeno nei parametri più importanti come la nitidezza, la fedeltà dei colori e la dinamica, l'unica cosa interessante sono i passaggi multipli per ridurre il noise e ovviamente il più importante è cioè che si può utilizzare con dei vecchi scanner sulle nuove versioni di windows. Malgrado tutto per i lavori seri continuo a preferire i driver d'origine (canon fs4000us) su un vecchio pc win xp 32bt. Riguardo alle impostazioni dopo varie esperienze ho costatato che è meglio scegliere srgb (invece di livelli di grigio) anche per le foto in b&n e poi scegliere il canale più nitido e meno "rumoroso" (generalmente il verde) eliminando gli altri con ps.

alla fine sto usando un portatile con win 10 e il software originale epson che nel frattempo ho recuperato dall'assistenza ( 3 telefonate, molta costanza e tante chiacchiere ma loro molto gentili) i risultati non sono di alta qualita, anzi, i negativi sicuramente non sono stati custoditi bene e le riproduzioni sono abbastanza impolverate, soffietto ecc, ecc, ma resta sempre qualche cosa, però rivivo i momenti famigliari e questo per il momento è ok.
piu avanti certamente qualche altra cosa mi inventerò...
