Secondo me la dicitura " lunghe esposizioni " si riferisce inevocabilmente ai tempi di esposizione. Se diciamo invece
" Tempi lunghi" si potrebbe anche intendere un evento appartenente ad un mondo diverso da quello fotografico: es. burocrazia italiana...MrGreen

Sarebbero la somma di più esposizioni, quindi una sorta di stack, stile astrofoto.... Direi di non utilizzarle qui. ;-)
