quindi per fare un esempio su una macchina con sensore APS-C, se per assurdo montassi un EF 50mm o un EFS 50 mm (ipotizzando che esista, e' solo un esempio per semplicità') entrambi vengono moltiplicati per 1.6?

Ma allora che differenza c'e' tra gli obiettivi EF e EF-S??

La differenza principale delle ottiche ef-s, rispetto a quelle ef, è nel dimensionamento delle lenti, che sono studiate per "coprire" un sensore di formato aps-c, mentre quelle ef sono progettate per essere utilizzate anche con sensori di formato 36mmx24mm (a pieno formato).

La lunghezza focale, così come l'apertura massima, fanno riferimento alle caratteristiche dell'ottica, tuttavia l'angolo di campo dipende dal formato del sensore. Quindi sì, le lunghezze focali vanno moltiplicate per 1.6x, per avere una stima dell'angolo di campo inquadrato.
