il 16-35 2.8 ha senso di esistere solo (anche se non è cosa da poco, dipende dalle necessità) per lo stop di luce. ma dal punto di vista ottico c'è una differenza abissale tra i due obiettivi.

Ho appena fatto qualche prova, sul paesaggio per certi versi è pure preferibile al "mostro sacro" 24L II, ha meno aberrazione cromatica (a pari apertura) e (almeno) pari nitidezza pure ai bordi...
Il 24L però restituisce ombre migliori.

Ho anche io questa bellissima lente da qualche settimana..... e ne sono soddisfattissimo a parte il fatto che per l'uso astronomico che ne faccio avrei preferito un ultrawide 2,8.... Comunque....

Oggi ho scoperto una cosa molto particolare e curiosa!!!!

Per lo meno il mio esemplare, impostato a 16mm e guardando dalla parte posteriore, mostra il diaframma parzialmente chiuso, poi mano a mano che si sale con la focale il diaframma si apre completamente... Questo significa una cosa a mio avviso piuttosto importante, e cioè che potenzialmente, a 16mm potrebbe essere anche più luminoso, ovviamente con conseguente minor nitidezza e maggior vignettatura.
Però è evidente che Canon ha voluto presentarlo come un F4 costante, e non un 2,8-4, che poco piace probabilmente ai professionisti......

non sono un esperto di ottica, ma immagino che tutto gli zoom con apertura costante abbiano questa peculiarità

Probabilmente si, ma il fatto che possa essere un po' più luminoso e non lo sia mi ci rode un po'...... :-)
