Negli ultimi tre anni di vita Walker Evans ebbe problemi di salute che gli impedirono di usare i mezzi fotografici che era solito usare. Le ultime foto della sua carriera furono scattate con una polaroid SX70, non so se la ricordate, era la polaroid più 'evoluta', aveva un rivestimento di similpelle che doveva essere un tocco di classe, mio padre ne acquistò una negli Stati Uniti ai tempi e la si usava per fotografare i disegni tessili in lavorazione provenienti dai clienti tedeschi a cui restava la foto come referenza.
