Beh, leggero leggero non e' (1.5kg), ma niente d'ingestibile se sostieni correttamente la lente con la mano sinistra.
Secondo me per un incontro di calcetto puoi gestirlo tranquillamente a mano libera, ma se vedi che ti risulta troppo disagevole, un buon compromesso puo' essere un monopiede, meno ingombrante e piu' pratico da portare in giro di un treppiede.

il 70-200 si brandeggia agevolmente a mano libera, usarlo su monopiede ti vincola troppo nei movimenti. il cavalletto dimenticalo proprio per le foto d'azione.
Io lo uso abbinato alla EOS 1DX che non è una piuma, e capita di farci 4 partite consecutive.
E' un'ottica professionale, grossa, pesante e costosa. Ti confermo che lo utilizzano tranquillamente anche un sacco di colleghe donne di corporatura minuta senza grossi problemi.

Secondo me usare un 70-200mm con il cavalletto alla fine diventa più ingombrante che usarlo senza.

io fossi in te valuterei il tamron 70-180.. molto più leggero..otticamente non ha nulla da invidiare al 70-200..e costa pure molto meno..
