Il vecchio 24-70 è - a mio parere di fotografo dilettante - una bomba.

Ma perché un 24-70 per FF quando hai una DX neanche troppo grande? Fossi in te prenderei un 16-80 Nikkor, o un 17-55 f/2.8 fisso di Nikon o Sigma.
Poi quando passerai a FF ti preoccuperai delle ottiche dedicate a questo formato. Le lenti che ti ho citate le rivenderai facilmente assieme alla tua DX 5300.
Il 24-70 f/2.8 è sproporzionato rispetto al corpo della D5300 e ti perdi inoltre tutto il range del grandangolo.

Quindi nikon 16-80...1000 euro? Leggevo che il prezzo non vale l'obiettivo..

Appunto è fuori mercato. Se vuoi un ottica di qualità è un 17-50/55 il resto sono compromessi

Ma il 17-55 nikon costa tantissimo..
A questo punto direi che la scelta, considerato che voglio un obiettivo soprattutto per ritratti in interni ed esterni e non vorrei andare oltre gli 800/1000 è su:
17-70 sigma sui 400
24-70 tamron vecchio sugli 800
Il 16-80 nikon ho letto che per quello che costa non ne vale la pena, il 17-50 sigma costa praticamente quanto il 17-70..

il 17-50 sigma si trova a 250 euro nuovo, il 17-70 a 285
il 17-50 è 2.8 costante ed ha una qualità migliore per la minore escursione focale
sono entrambi ottimi obbiettivi
