Ad un'amico, proprio questo Giugno ad Ibiza, hanno sequestrato il treppiede Benro, ma gli hanno lasciato la testa...
La giustificazione è che poteva essere usato per fare "sniper"...

ciao parto anche io nel we per Roma con il tuo stesso dubbio, volo Alitalia... sul loro sito non parla di treppiedi o cavalletti alla voce "oggetti vietati": www.alitalia.com/it_it/Informazioni-Supporto/Bagagli/index.html#bagagl

Mai avuto problemi con il cavalletto, anche in alcuni viaggi all'estero con transito in aeroporti non italiani, ma ogni volta che parto sto sempre con il dubbio che qualcuno mi possa contestare il fatto che potrei usarlo come corpo contundente.

secondo me dipende da chi trovi ai controlli, infatti un paio di mesi prima sono passato senza problemi... sarà perchè la seconda volta avevo la barba lunga e sembravo un delinquente MrGreen

sinceramente trovo molto più comodo mettere sempre il cavalletto nel bagaglio da stiva.... ho già abbastanza problemi con il peso del bagaglio a mano senza dovermi trascinare dietro anche il cavalletto....

capisco una lente o una macchina fotografica.... ma non penso che il cavalletto sia la preda più ambita dei ladri.....
