Confermo pure io la presenza di un VC "ballerino".
Molto efficace con tempi lenti se gli si lascia il qualche momento per stabilizzarsi.
Causa un calo di nitidezza con tempi più veloci per cui conviene disattivarlo.
Come AF nulla di negativo da segnalare.

Compralo tutta la vita, è fantastico e uno stop di luce in più rispetto al Canon f/4 è utilissimo.
Poi se te lo puoi permettere è meglio il Canon f/2,8 II... che costa il triplo MrGreen

Personalmente sono tornato al Canon prima serie perché avevo nostalgia del bokeh; l'ho ricomprato ripromettendomi di dare via il Tammy ma ho potuto riscontrare, avendoli tutti e due, come il Tamron sia meglio in tutto, e quindi... adesso ne ho due Confuso

Forse l'unico leggero vantaggio del vecchio Canon risiede nei colori, un pò più fedeli e caldi, e nel bokeh appunto, che io trovo molto più piacevole e vicino a quello dei fissi.
Ma in termini di qualità d'immagine complessiva il Tamron è meglio, più nitido a tutte le focali e soprattutto molto molto più nitido a tutta apertura.
Personalmente non ho nulla da lamentare né con l'AF né con il VR.

A proposito di VC "ballerino", il canon 35mm f.2 IS ha lo stesso problema, e ancora più pronunziato
