il canon 14 è decisamente TROPPO costoso.. è pèr questo che tutti comprano il samyang 14 :D

Il 14 f/2,8 Samyang costa 349 euro.

Non credo si possa fare un pancake 12mm (come il VOIGTLAENDER nella foto di The_misfits) dedicato alle DSLR per la semplice ragione che un pancake deve essere non retrofocus e quindi la lente posteriore deve stare ad una decina di millimetri dal sensore, cosa che con lo specchio è impossibile.
Infatti tutti i grandi angoli per le reflex sono retrofocus ed hanno quindi lo schema ottico del tele "rovesciato" (montato al contrario), con il conseguente ingombro.

Pertanto il VGT in foto (che possiedo) può essere montato solo sulle MIRRORLESS che hanno un tiraggio nativo cortissimo, o sulle fotocamere analogiche a pellicola con attacco M39 (LEICA, VOIGTLAENDER, ROLLEI, ecc. ecc.).

Ricordo che una volta esistevano delle ottiche non retrofocus per le SLR (mi pare anche di averne avuta una in uso per qualche settimana) che però si montavano tenendo alzato lo specchio (perché la parte posteriore dell'ottica invadeva lo spazio dello specchio), mentre per inquadrare si utilizzava un mirino ottico montato sulla slitta flash.
Messa a fuoco?
Non ce n'è bisogno!
Il VGT della foto a TA (che è F5,6) in iperfocale mette a fuoco da circa 0,5 metri all'infinito ...
Ma parliamo di 50 anni fa.

Quanto al SAMMY 14 2,8 è una ottima lente.
Il suo vero difetto sono peso e dimensioni (lo so bene perché ho pure questo):
pesa circa 1Kg (ad occhio) ed è lungo come un 135mm e largo come un 400.
Questo proprio perché è retrofocus: un tele rovesciato.

Io mi accontenterei di un 18 2.8 L o Max un 21... tropicalizzati buoni agli angoli a TA con poca ac distorsione contenuta e minima distanza di maf ridotta
