Se guardi le ultime foto del maestro Franco, si nota eccome il cambio di ottica, si vede a 1200 px, immagina in HD ;-)

Su tutto il resto sono pienamente d'accordo, la preparazione allo scatto è un aspetto fondamentale.
Un af meglio del 400 5.6 non lo troverai senza spendere svariate migliaia di euro ( 400 2.8 o 400 DO ) ;-)

ma roberto..certo tutto è migliorabile. E se scattiamo con una lastra 10x12 (ammesso ci si riesca a fermare il soggetto e per bene) che qualità otterremmo??? altro che hd... ci faremmo i cartelloni pubblicitari.
Però, a mio avviso, le foto di franco erano belle fin da prima ed io su tante non riesco a sapere se scattate con il sigma; e non per una qualità ottica eccelsa bensì per un risultato "finale" eccellente dovuto soprattutto alla vicinanza dei soggetti e ad una precisione tecnica doverosa (tempi perfetti, no micromosso, esposizione giusta).
A riprova di questo il gradimento.
Questo per dire che il fotografo ha utilizzato quell'obiettivo (apparentemente?) modesto traendone il massimo, con la sua tecnica/approccio.
Ecco forse è questa la chiave!
Certo questo è il mio modo di vedere; se una immagine mi piace molto, solo dopo, vado a curiosare sui dati tecnici (corpo macchina, obiettivo etc etc). Ma una immagine se è riuscita, accattivante va cmq al di la del mezzo con il quale è stata realizzata.

rispondo a Marco, Fuori tutto vuol dire che lo zoom è sempre a 500mm e mi trovo spesso corto, solo nel caso di aironi che improvvisamente aprono le ali a volte sono costretto a portarlo a 400 o in qualche caso a 350mm ma nella stragrande maggioranza dei casi le mie foto sono state scattate a 500mm. :-P
