Samyang ha annunciato un 12mm f/2 Per APS-C Mirrorless/CS

c'è veramente molto fermento tra i produttori di ottiche :)

Mi chiedo a cosa possa servire un 12mm f2: un obiettivo così wide lo usarei sempre molto chiuso, quindi f2 ... a che tipo di foto serve?

IMHO, ottica molto benvenuta, visto anche il prezzo che pare molto ragionevole (400 dollari al lancio)

Sfruttando l'iperfocale almeno gli oggetti più lontani (stelle ed eventuali montagne) saranno a fuoco comunque.

@Alvar alla fine utilizzata su mirrorless apsc hai l'equivalente di focale e pdc di un 19/2.8 (zeiss?) ottica molto ambita ;) no?

Ri-quoto Mattfala... per fare foto alle stelle si usano ottiche luminose a TA, quindi una lente del genere è decisamente utile per quel genere di foto, poi ovviamente nei paesaggi in genere si chiude il diaframma, per carità.
Se però esiste un 17-40 f4 ed un 16-35 f2.8 un motivo c'è e non è il mm in meno... la luminosità è utile anche sui grandangolari spinti.
In termini assoluti l'f2 mi piace, dato che il prezzo è ragionevole e l'ottica è piccola e leggera, altrimenti anche f2.8 mi sarebbe andata benissimo.

Dipende dai punti di vista... posto che ho scoperto il tutto poco fa, non saprei che farmene di lenti AF samyang... sarebbero più grandi, pesanti, costose ed andrebbero anche peggio otticamente, dovendo prevedere tutto il gruppo lenti per l'af.
Invece mi attrae un sacco il fatto che abbiano fatto un 18 mm equivalente luminoso, molto piccolo e dal peso di 250gr... il tutto per una cifra decisamente umana (la metà del 14 fuji ed un terzo del 12 zeiss).
Era proprio la lente che speravo uscisse... punti di vista;-)

Sul sito non indica ll'attacco ef-s per canon ma solo l'attacco M! Non sarà per caso un obiettivo per mirrorless?
