una cara amica ha una Olympus EM10 MK3, presa SENZA ottica base.
mi potreste consigliare un ottica stile 14-42, magari un po' più economica?

Quello è collassabile. Non va male, ma io lo trovo scomodo, come anche il 9-18.
Poi sono anche soggetti alla rottura della piattina interna che è molto sollecitata.
Il panasonic che dicevo io è di tutt'altra pasta:

L'EZ non è piaciuto neanche a me.
il 12-32 pana è già meglio e mantiene i 12 mm di grandangolo, cosa molto utile.
Poi son tutti obiettivi kit che, cercando, puoi trovare a prezzi onesti.
Io non scarterei neanche un fisso tipo 14, 17 o 20 mm. Dipende da come uno è abituato.

I collassabili prima o poi danno problemi.

Di solito il collegamento flessibile elettrico prima o poi bisogna cambiarlo.

Cambiarlo su un 9-18 ad esempio si passano i 200 euro.

Concordo con Hardy, Panasonic 14-45 usato, ottima lente e un quel range di prezzo non trovi niente di meglio.

Il Panasonic 14-45mm (il primo tipo) dovrebbe essere uno dei migliori zoom-kit in assoluto come Q.I., poi c'è il Panasonic 25mm f1.7 volendo un fisso luminoso senza spendere un'occhio.
