sono indeciso riguardo alle due ottiche, quale mi consigliereste ?

Il 16 /35 è un ottimo obiettivo nitido fino ai bordi gia a tutta apertura nonche stabilizzato.
il 17-40 a tutta apertura sui bordi cala di nitidezza vistosamente, di buono ha che è molto leggero.
Io me lo porto in montagna perche a diaframma chiuso è buono quasi come il 16/35.
per il resto, stabilizzazione, e nitidezza su tutto il fotogramma fa del 16/35 uno dei migliori obiettivi canon.

Da possessore del 16-35 f4 posso dire che e' davvero una lente stupenda.

Il 16-35 è più nitido fino ai bordi anche a f4. Poi chiusi entrambi a f9/f11 (soliti diaframma da paesaggio) diventano praticamente identici.

Chiusi a 8/11 anche un Apocromatico e un acromatico sono indistinguibili ... beh ... quasi indistinguibili ;-) senza considerare che c'è pure chi, come me per esempio, che ben di rado può permettersi il lusso di chiudere oltre 5,6 Eeeek!!!

16-35 senza porsi domande, se non hai abbastanza budget aspetta di averlo e prendi lo stesso il 16-35.

il 16-35 F4 è più pesante di 100g e più lungo di un centimetro rispetto al 17-40, non so per cosa sia estremamente più comodo...

Se devi acquistarlo immediatamente ma hai un basso budget vai di 17-40, se puoi spendere di più vai di 16-35

Io lo considero una validissssssima alternativa (per la fotografia itinerante) ai più impegnativi (molto più impegnativi) Sigma ART 14 e 20! Ciao. G.

vi ringrazio molto per i vostri preziosissimi suggerimenti. Il budget non depone a favore del 16-35 .. ma devo dire che lo preferisco anch'io al 17-40 .. ; tra l'altro ho notato che è più facile trovare il 17-40 usato in vendita piuttosto che il 16-35 ..
comunque sia, grazie a tutti, davvero!
