Canon ha registrato il brevetto per un nuovo mount, probabilmente destinato alle future mirrorless fullframe, che dovrebbe essere compatibile anche con le ottiche EF-M e EF già esistenti (immagino con adattatore visto che il tiraggio è diverso). Il mount EF-M sembrerebbe troppo piccolo per sensori FF, quindi è plausibile che Canon stia lavorando a un mount diverso, cercando però di non sacrificare le ottiche EF-M già esistenti.

Ed è una gran cosa, giusto muoversi in quella direzione per tutelare gli acquisti degli aficionados. Magari le lenti che usciranno dopo saranno tutte già con attacco nuovo e magari anche il 70-200 che hanno progettato è già pronto con quel tipo di attacco.

Sinceramente garantire la compatibilità con le ottiche EF-M non so quanto sia fondamentale.
Le lenti EF-M sono pensate per sensori aps-c, quindi montarle su un sensore FF non so quanto convenga, dato che non si sa che copertura riescono ad offrire.
Discorso diverso e se Canon pensasse di adottare la baionetta EF-M e utilizzare uesta nuova anche per i sensori aps-c e non solo per FF.

Non penso che i nuovi 70-200 siano stati progettati pensando a questo attacco, dato che la loro disponibilità e prevista a breve, mentre di questo non si sa nulla.
Poi sulle focali lunghe un tiraggio minore non da grandi vantaggi nella progettazione dell'ottica, quindi secondo me sono pensati per l'attacco EF , e nel caso che vogliano fare una versione per questo nuovo attacco possono fare come sigma , in pratica "allungare" il barilotto .

Come noto il marchio Canon è quello che attira di più i fotografi, quindi perché non inventarsi un nuovo attacco che obblighi i possessori di ottiche Canon a comprarne delle altre per poterle usare sulle nuove mirrorless? ;-)

Ma no Canon non è mica Sony. Loro fanno macchine ogni tre anni e soprattutto fanno beneficienza, mica devono fare profitto sulla pelle dei loro clienti.
